The best advice I’ve ever received is to “show up with intention.” It’s a reminder that how we communicate, lead and support others matters, and that small, consistent actions build trust and momentum. Why do you choose to invest and be involved at the highest level? We are believers in the fact that we’re stronger together than we are alone. With FJ Champions Club, it connects us to the community, keeps us informed, and provides great opportunities for the Jets to deepen relationships with other businesses. Two educational programs that come to mind are School Safety Night at the Jets Reading Club. What should folks know about those programs? Reading Club has been an amazing program over the years. Essentially, Jets players take time to visit each elementary school classroom to read to them and share the importance of their education. These kiddos look up to the players, and we hope it has a big impact inspiring these kids to excel in school! Reading IS cool! … And School Safety Night was a huge success in our inaugural year last season. Parents, students, police and fire departments, and the community really responded to this, as the question that weighs heavily on everyone’s mind … “Will our kids be safe to go to school today?” This year, the police and fire departments in Rock County have identified additional resources needed, but not funded, for our kids' safety. We aim to level up once again with our fanbase to fill the gap, and we hope to see you there in support! What other ways are you working with community partners on workforce development? We certainly play an active role with the kids over at the Boys & Girls Club of Janesville. Working with them, you quickly understand that their mission is to prepare the next generation of workforce here in Janesville. That’s important to our sponsors and community partners, so we’re there to help! Beyond that, we are partnering this year with the children’s museum to provide a $10 Affordable Family Ticket Outlet. Each game, 100 tickets are available at the children’s museum for only $10, and $2 of that will go back to the museum.
